IPL 2024 Match Schedule :
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has disclosed the timetable for the initial fortnight of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, set to commence from March 22, 2024, to April 7, 2024.
Over the course of these two weeks, 21 matches are scheduled across 10 cities. Each team is slated to play a minimum of three matches and a maximum of five.
Clash of The Titans (CSK vs RCB ): The 17th season will commence with the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings, facing off against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on Friday.
This is the first match of IPL to be played between two teams whose fan base is the largest among the other teams of IPL, which means you can say that this season of IPL is going to be a very explosive start. If you can say in few words that it is Dhoni vs Kohli.
The clash between the tournament’s top two high-value players, Australia’s Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, is set for March 23 as the Kolkata Knight Riders kick off their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on their home turf.
The opening weekend will include two sets of double headers. Firstly, the Punjab Kings will host the Delhi Capitals on Saturday afternoon, followed by the Kolkata Knight Riders hosting the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the evening.
On Sunday afternoon (March 24th), the action moves to Jaipur, where the Rajasthan Royals will take on the Lucknow Super Giants. Yashasvi Jaiswal, representing the Rajasthan Royals, will be in action against the Lucknow Super Giants in the afternoon match of the double-header on March 24.
Hardik Pandya, leading the Mumbai Indians in this edition, will face his former team, the Gujarat Titans, on March 24, the 2022 champions and finalists of the last season, going head-to-head with five-time winners Mumbai Indians.
The Delhi Capitals, having opted to play their first two home matches in Visakhapatnam, will initially host the Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, March 31, in the port city. Subsequently, they will face the Kolkata Knight Riders at the same venue on Wednesday, April 3.
The BCCI will collaborate closely with government and security agencies, adhering to all necessary protocols and advisories related to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in India. Following the announcement of the 18th Lok Sabha election dates, the Board will review and address any issues related to the schedule of the first two weeks. Subsequently, the BCCI will coordinate with local authorities to finalize the schedule for the remaining part of the season, considering the polling dates.
